Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is STEAM Academy at Mccluer South Berkeley's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

While STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Riverview Gardens. The Bulldogs blew past the Rams 19-0. Considering the Bulldogs have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Reggie Gully made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Gully was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 12 games he's played.

In other batting news, Ladarius Garman was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 12 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Namari McKinnie, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
