The Tri-Cities Bulldogs lost against the Midtown Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Tri-Cities fell 61-48 to Midtown. It was the first time this season that Tri-Cities let down their fans at home.
Paris Shelton and Alyssia Bandele certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Shelton scored 20 points, while Bandele scored ten points along with nine rebounds. The match was Bandele's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Tri-Cities' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Midtown, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Tri-Cities will head out on the road to face off against Villa Rica at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Villa Rica is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Midtown and Mays will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mays will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Midtown is ranked 36th).
