V.R. Eaton entered their tilt with Northwest on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They took down the Northwest Texans 42-28. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Texans are ranked 637th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

V.R. Eaton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Northwest, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18.
