Baseball Recap: Heide Trask Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Heide Trask proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 20) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Coastal Christian Centurions 4-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Brian Green tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Heide Trask let Drew Bailey and Brantley Lunsford run wild. Bailey went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Lunsford went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Bailey has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Chance Kibbey, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

Heide Trask's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Coastal Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heide Trask will challenge South Lenoir at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coastal Christian, they will square off against St. David's at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
