The Carrollton Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Salem Quakers at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carrollton has four straight victories, Salem has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Carrollton earned a 58-45 win over Alliance.
It was another big night for Lincoln Mallarnee, who scored 26 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Carrollton's points. Keegan Barkan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Salem suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Minerva by a score of 48-45.
Carrollton pushed their record up to 6-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
Carrollton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Salem when the teams last played on January 5th, but they still walked away with a 45-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carrollton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
