Sugar-Salem has gone a perfect 10-0 against Teton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Diggers will welcome the Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. Sugar-Salem will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Sugar-Salem barely beat South Fremont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Diggers never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Diggers have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Dawson McInelly made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Sugar-Salem is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Will Chappell, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Hank Carter, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Sugar-Salem always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Teton didn't have quite enough to beat American Falls on Tuesday and fell 7-6. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Beavers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Will Wright was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Luke Nelson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Sugar-Salem pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Teton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Teton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sugar-Salem has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .486. It's a different story for Teton, though, as they've only averaged .284. Will they be able to contain Sugar-Salem's hitters?
Sugar-Salem took their win against Teton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Diggers repeat their success, or do the Timberwolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
