Volleyball Recap: Arapahoe Wins Going Away Against Ponderosa

Arapahoe won the last time they faced Ponderosa and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mustangs. The match marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season so far.

One reason for the win was Arapahoe's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-14.

Riley Brayton paced Arapahoe's offense, picking up 11 kills. Brayton got some help from Addie Loughner and her 23 assists. Skylar Kennedy controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Arapahoe pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ponderosa, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Arapahoe will square off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ponderosa, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Highlands Ranch on the 29th.
