The Arroyo Valley Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Moreno Valley on the road by a decisive 56-37 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Arroyo Valley in their matchups with Moreno Valley: they've now lost three in a row.
It was another big night for Jamall Thompson, who scored 15 points along with six steals for Moreno Valley. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Collins, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Arroyo Valley bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Moreno Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Arroyo Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carter at 3:30 p.m. on December 26th. Carter presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Arroyo Valley in California (Carter is ranked 450th, while Arroyo Valley is ranked 1148th). As for Moreno Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Rubidoux at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
