Baseball Recap: Labelle's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

LaBelle made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Avon Park, but they still couldn't quite topple them. LaBelle put the hurt on Avon Park with a sharp 11-5 victory on Monday. Considering the Cowboys/Cowgirls have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ty Murray was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. LaBelle is undefeated when Murray posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson White, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The win (which was LaBelle's third in a row) raised their record to 11-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Avon Park, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

Coming up, LaBelle will venture away from home to take on Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Avon Park, they will welcome Frostproof at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
