The Portland Adventist Academy Cougars lost against the Westside Christian Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Portland Adventist Academy was dealt a 78-38 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Portland Adventist Academy in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the defeat, Portland Adventist Academy saw an underclassman step up: Andrew Darrington scored eight points.
Portland Adventist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Westside Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Valley Catholic the next time they take the court. Portland Adventist Academy will head out to face the Valiants at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
