Satellite hasn't had much luck against Eau Gallie recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Scorpio will face off against the Commodores at 6:00 p.m. Satellite is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Satellite is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over Merritt Island. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scorpio.
Isabella Barrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Elysse Fredenburg, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Makayla OBrien was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Eau Gallie made easy work of Rockledge on Monday and carried off an 11-1 victory. Considering the Commodores have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Eau Gallie got a massive performance out of Abigail Latulippe, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Joellie Lebron also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Eau Gallie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockledge only posted an OBP of .238.
Satellite's record is now 9-13. As for Eau Gallie, their record now sits at 20-3.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Satellite hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .364. However, it's not like Eau Gallie struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Satellite might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Eau Gallie in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Scorpio avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
