The Richland Rams won against the Portage Mustangs last Thursday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Richland managed a 49-44 victory over Portage. That's two games straight that Richland has won by exactly five points.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trae Kargo, who scored 12 points along with five assists. Kargo scored a full 27.3% of Portage's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Hodge, who scored ten points.
Richland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Portage, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-3.
