The Boone Braves had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 33-32 win over River Ridge. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Boone has scored all season.
Boone's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckenna Murphy, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Murphy hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Elina Del Rosario, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Perhaps the best among them was Zaree Nichols, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Nichols has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Lauren Lee was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Boone pushed their record up to 19-3 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.9 points. As for River Ridge, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5.
Boone will head out on the road to take on Horizon at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Horizon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Boone likes a good challenge. As for River Ridge, they will be playing at home against Hudson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. River Ridge is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
