The Bucyrus Redmen's's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past Crestline 54-21 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-8.
Bucyrus can attribute much of their success to Brook Dennison, who scored 20 points along with 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Dennison has scored at least 25% of Bucyrus' points. Another player making a difference was Addison Kemery, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
The win got Bucyrus back to even at 1-1. As for Crestline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bucyrus will take on Vanlue at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Vanlue focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. As for Crestline, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Galion at 6:00 p.m.
