If The Palo Alto Vikings were feeling good off their 61-23 takedown of the Half Moon Bay Cougars last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Palo Alto fell just short of Hillsdale by a score of 16-13.
Jason Auzenne and Declan Packer, Palo Alto certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Auzenne picked up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Packer threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt.
Palo Alto has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Hillsdale, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palo Alto will square off against Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Homestead is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Hillsdale, they will head out on the road to face off against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
