We expected Boston Latin to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Wayland on Friday, and they did. Boston Latin found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 21-46 punch to the gut against Wayland. If Boston Latin were hoping to take revenge for the 8-45 loss against Wayland the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Boston Latin are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3. The victory bumped Wayland's record up to 2-1.
Boston Latin will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Newton South. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. As for Wayland, they will face off against Concord-Carlisle. Wayland will be strutting in after a win while Concord-Carlisle will be stumbling in from a defeat.
