The C. Milton Wright Mustangs will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Great Mills Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in C. Milton Wright's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Thursday, C. Milton Wright didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Lake Clifton, but they still walked away with a 57-53 victory.
C. Milton Wright's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyle Ashman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Ashman's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Noah Clarke was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Great Mills scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Bladensburg 72-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
C. Milton Wright's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Great Mills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
