Whiteford came out on top against Morenci on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run third inning. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Bobcats have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Whiteford's third in a row) raised their record to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Morenci, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Whiteford will head out on the road to take on Milan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Big Reds' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Morenci, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lenawee Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
