The Cavalier Tornadoes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by St. John 56-25. Cavalier was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. John to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaycee Desjarlais, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. Desjarlais is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Alani Morin was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Cavalier's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for St. John, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Cavalier will be playing in front of their home fans against Langdon/Edmore/Munich at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Langdon/Edmore/Munich will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for St. John, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] on January 26th.
