The Lakeside Knights lost against the Osborne Bulldogs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lakeside took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Lakeside has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ian Kresin, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Cunningham, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Lakeside struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Lakeside's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Osborne, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Lakeside will head out on the road to face off against the Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Osborne, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers. Natoma will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 83rd).
