Hillcrest has won three straight games at home, while T.L. Hanna has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Rams will host the Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m.
Hillcrest blew Greenwood out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Greenwood got their revenge. The Rams fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.
Hillcrest saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatum Lane, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, T.L. Hanna won against Westside on Saturday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets put the hurt on Mauldin with a sharp 12-4 win. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.
T.L. Hanna let Brooke Pratt 2026 and Harmony Harvey 2028 run wild. Pratt 2026 went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Harvey 2028 went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Harvey 2028 a new career-high. Kendall Coakley 2029 was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
T.L. Hanna hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for T.L. Hanna, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hillcrest hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like T.L. Hanna struggles in that department as they've averaged .368. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hillcrest couldn't quite get it done against T.L. Hanna in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 11-7. Will the Rams have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
