V Section VI recap November 13, 2013
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in V Section VI this week by beating Bourgade Catholic, 28-6. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
San Tan Foothills lost to Yuma Catholic 57-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ricky Wilson ran for 103 yards in the loss.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cody Cropp threw for 60 and 1 touchdown and Ben Walker had 44 yards receiving. On the ground Connor Reilly chipped in 155 yards. James Raica helped Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.
Reilly provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Troy Cropp's team beat the Golden Eagles. Reilly's favorite target this week was Walker, who caught 4 passes for 44 yards.
Walker was the best wideout in the league this week as the Lions beat Bourgade Catholic. Raica helped Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jacob Frithsen has thrown for 764 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Walker has 27 catches for 468 yards.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,839 from 6,390. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 28-6 victory over Pat Lavin's team last week.
