Cherokee extended their postseason success on Saturday against Covenant Christian. Everything went their way against the Covenant Christian Eagles as they made off with  a  12-2 win. The result was nothing new for Cherokee, who have now won 23 games by six  runs or more  so far this season.

 In other batting news,  Layla Gorman and  Carli Sparks did most of the damage at the plate:  Gorman  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Sparks  scored three  runs while going 2-for-4.  Libby Collum was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 On Covenant Christian's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mallory Cargile, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Cherokee is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 27-18 record  this season. As for Covenant Christian, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost 11 of their last 14 contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record  this season.
