It was a good run, but the Goessel Bluebirds unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. The contest between Goessel and Moundridge wasn't particularly close, with Goessel falling 74-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Cammi Unruh continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Moundridge, scoring 35 points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Unruh has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Patrick, who went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists.
Goessel's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Moundridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Goessel on the road again on Tuesday and play against Reno County HomeSchool at 6:00 a.m. on January 23rd. As for Moundridge, they will face off against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Chaparral focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Tuesday.
