The biggest upset of the week belonged to Orestimba, who took down 484th ranked Orestimba, 25-6. Tanner Duron ran for 260 yards in the win.
Hughson moved up to 416 from 510 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Trans Valley. The Huskies climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Warriors 25-6.
Ripon's dynamic duo of Kyle Wengel and Bradley Clark proved tough for Hilmar to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wengel threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns and Clark had 108 yards receiving. Cole Herrin helped Ripon's passing attack out by catching four balls for 41 yards.
The Indians' Wengel and Clark have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wengel has thrown for 1289 yards this season, while Clark, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 30 catches for 565 yards. Steven Machado from Orestimba leads the league in rushing with 1623 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Escalon takes on the Yellowjackets. As it stands, the Cougars are in third, while Hilmar is in second.
Ripon extended the longest winning streak in Trans Valley this week by beating Frank Marques' team, 42-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for Chris Johnson's team.
