Glenelg came into Thursday's   matchup looking for another win against Atholton, but  Tyler Bell wouldn't allow it. The Raiders came out on top against the Gladiators by a score of  40-28  on Thursday for which the team can thank  Bell, who threw for 303 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 68 yards and one  score on only six carries. He is becoming a predictor of Atholton's success: when he posts  at  least three  passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
 Jordan Dailey was  Bell's top target, picking up 151 receiving yards and one  TD. Dailey was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 59 yards.
 Atholton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Christopher Thompson and  Jamal Kelly. Another thorn in Glenelg's side was  David Tucker, who picked up  a  sack and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Glenelg's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Jailen Johnson, who rushed for 128 yards and one  score, and  Matthew Keane, who picked up 36 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Johnson's rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101  rushing yards.  Kyndell Owens got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Atholton pushed their record up to 6-3 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.7 points on average over those games. As for Glenelg, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record  this season.
 Atholton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenelg, they will be playing at home against Wilde Lake  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
