The Evansville Memorial Tigers entered their tilt with the Mt. Vernon Rams with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Evansville Memorial came out on top against Mt. Vernon by a score of 62-51 on Saturday.
Evansville Memorial got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Ellspermann out in front who scored 23 points. The game was Ellspermann's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Evans, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Evansville Memorial pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
Evansville Memorial will head out on the road to face off against Evansville Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Centralia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
