St. Brendan has gone a perfect 3-0 against Coral Gables recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The St. Brendan Sabres will head out to square off against the Coral Gables Cavaliers at 3:30 p.m. St. Brendan hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

St. Brendan came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Southwest, falling 7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Sabres have suffered since March 13, 2024.

Luciano Nava was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

Meanwhile, Coral Gables came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Gulliver Prep on Friday as Coral Gables made off with an 8-2 win.

Julian Saveedra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Kevon Caffey was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ranfhier Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole Two bases.

Coral Gables hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gulliver Prep struck out ten times.

Coral Gables' record is now 3-6-1. As for St. Brendan, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

St. Brendan skirted past Coral Gables 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Does St. Brendan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coral Gables turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
