It was a good run, but the Hartsville Red Foxes unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 46-35 to North Myrtle Beach. Hartsville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Myrtle Beach apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Red Foxes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jazzy Frierson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Frierson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Brooke Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Hartsville's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-6. As for North Myrtle Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Hartsville will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Lee Central at 5:00 p.m. on January 15th. One thing working in Lee Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for North Myrtle Beach, they will head out on the road to challenge South Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
