The Terry Rangers can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 49-27 margin over Fort Bend Kempner. The victory was just what Terry needed coming off of a 33-7 loss in their prior matchup.
Marcus Townsend went supernova for Terry, rushing for 175 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also throwing for 61 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Despite the defeat, Fort Bend Kempner had strong showings from Grayson Green, who threw for 285 yards and four touchdowns, and Mario James, who picked up 112 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Terry's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Fort Bend Kempner, they bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Terry is on the road again on Thursday and play against Manvel at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd. Manvel presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Terry in Texas (Manvel is ranked 250th, while Terry is ranked 655th). As for Fort Bend Kempner, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Angleton at 7:00 p.m.
