Cresskill has gone a perfect 4-0 against Elmwood Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cougars will welcome the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. Elmwood Park took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cresskill, who comes in off a win.
Cresskill is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on New Milford with a sharp 11-4 win on Monday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Luke Kopczynski made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Cresskill: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4-1 otherwise. Kopczynski was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with five RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Manarang, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joe Connelly, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Elmwood Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to Bergen Charter.
Elmwood Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Solares, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Solares has brought in this season. Matthew Barrios was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Cresskill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Elmwood Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Cresskill took their win against Elmwood Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
