Lake Stevens and Jackson are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lake Stevens' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
If Lake Stevens beats Jackson with 16 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Vikings didn't even let Cascade on the board on Monday, marking the Vikings' second-straight 16-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won five in a row.
Blake Moser was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other pitching news, Emmitt Linehan looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cayden DeElena, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Heston, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
Lake Stevens was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Jackson faced Glacier Peak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 6-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last eight times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Ashton Bergman made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
Jackson's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-3. As for Lake Stevens, their record now sits at 8-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Lake Stevens has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Jackson struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lake Stevens skirted past Jackson 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Timberwolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
