The Satellite Scorpions will challenge the Merritt Island Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Satellite's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Merritt Island's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Satellite will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Rockledge, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Scorpions came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 9-4 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scorpions.

Satellite let Brady Roberts and MJ Valdes run wild. Roberts scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Valdes scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave Valdes a new career-high. Christian Colbert was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.
Meanwhile, Merritt Island came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Eagles. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.
Chase Burns looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Liam Miller was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jayce Brandes, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Merritt Island was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Master's Academy only posted a batting average of .211.
Merritt Island's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Satellite, their record is now 17-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Satellite has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Merritt Island struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Satellite came out on top in a nail-biter against Merritt Island in their previous meeting last Tuesday, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scorpions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
