Diamond Ranch Academy extended the longest winning streak in 1A - South this week by beating Rich, 34-20. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Diamondbacks.
Diamond Ranch Academy led the league in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on the Rebels.
Monticello's Austin Maloy and Jake Duncan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Maloy has thrown for 329 yards this season, while Duncan, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has nine catches for 174 yards. Wade Netto from Milford leads the league in rushing with 689 yards.
A big matchup in 1A - South this week will be when the Tigers take on the Buckaroos. At the moment, Milford is in fourth, while Monticello is in second.
There should be lots of points scored when Brian Williamson's team and Lee Chadwick's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Tigers comes in having scored 62 this season, while the Buckaroos have scored 178.
Robbie Dias' team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,120 from 10,712. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 34-20 victory over Rich last week.
