With a playoff win on the line, West Limestone rose to the challenge on Monday. They never let the St. John Paul II Falcons get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 26 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Lilly Bethune was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylie Posey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
West Limestone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in 12 consecutive contests.
West Limestone is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 40-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for St. John Paul II, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
