Softball Recap: Pleasant Ridge Has No Trouble Against Jefferson County North

Pleasant Ridge won the last time they faced Jefferson County North and things went their way on Monday too. The Rams were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over the Chargers. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won eight matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Pleasant Ridge got a massive performance out of Emily Goodson, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles Goodson has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Allison, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Pleasant Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Pleasant Ridge and bumps their season record up to 8-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Jefferson County North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-16.
