Having just played yesterday, the Sayre Spartans will get right back to it and host the Eminence Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Friday.
On Thursday, Sayre was beaten by East Carter 56-28. While losing is never fun, Sayre can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while East Carter is ranked 95th).
Meanwhile, Eminence was the victim of a rough 61-38 loss at the hands of East Carter on Wednesday.
This is the second loss in a row for Sayre and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Eminence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Sayre against Eminence when the teams last played back in December of 2021 as the team secured a 58-10 win. Does Sayre have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eminence turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
