The Hardin Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 49-29 walloping at the hands of Buna. Hardin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 5th.
Buna got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Raylee Harding out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds. Kamryn Jurik was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Hardin has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season. As for Buna, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hardin will face off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buna, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
