Central (Miami, Fla.) has a rich football tradition, producing more than a dozen NFL players over the years and winning a state championship in 2010 as part of back-to-back appearances in the Class 6A state title game.
The Rockets have reached the state playoffs in 11 of the past 13 years with future pros like Demetrius Byrd, Rakeem Cato, Ali Highsmith and Darnell Jenkins dotting the roster.
But the biggest name Central has produced is current Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee. The 10-year NFL veteran is the subject of this week's Way Back When.
