After flying high against the Riverwalk Academy Lions last Thursday, the McBee Panthers came back down to earth. McBee fell 84-72 to the Red Devils on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyrek Wright, who scored 18 points along with five assists and two steals. Wright is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Jakari Holloman was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
McBee's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Great Falls, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
McBee will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Great Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverwalk Academy has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11.
