If the Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Broncos were feeling good off their 59-18 takedown of the Winter Haven Christian Warriors last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the loss, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy still got an impressive performance from Delianie Diaz, who scored 15 points.
Poinciana's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keyanna Stanley led the charge by scoring 24 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Stanley is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Natalia Calderon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Poinciana, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
