Defeat or not, Somerset Academy South Homestead got some senior leadership from Kas Williams who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds and Zachary Reynolds who scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Reynolds scored a full 45.1% of Somerset Academy South Homestead's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Chase Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Somerset Academy South Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Gulf Coast, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy South Homestead will square off against Westwood Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Westwood Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Gulf Coast, they will head out on the road to face off against Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Barron Collier focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
