The Clark Chargers will venture away from home to challenge the Chaparral Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Wednesday, Clark didn't have quite enough to beat Spring Valley and fell 3-2. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Clark sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-19, 22-25, 25-20, 16-25, 15-10.

Clark's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Michael Chung, who had ten kills and five aces, and Theodore Birdsong, who had six kills and two blocks. Chung has been hot, having posted seven or more kills the last five times he's played. Ethan Kurian was another key player, getting 11 kills.
Chaparral not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th. They blew past Amplus Academy 3-0. The game was the first time the Cowboys have beaten the Archers on their court since May 8, 2021.
One reason for the win was Chaparral's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-18.
Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
Clark might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Chaparral when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
