Hall-Dale has gone 8-2 against Lisbon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will host the Greyhounds at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Hall-Dale has 11 wins dating back to last season, while Lisbon has four dating back to last season).
If Hall-Dale beats Lisbon with 16 runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Hall-Dale blew past Madison 16-2 on Wednesday.

Lucy Gray made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Torie Tibbetts, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Emma Perry was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Lisbon hadn't done well against Sacopee Valley recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Greyhounds walked away with an 11-8 win over the Hawks. While the Greyhounds didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Like Hall-Dale, Lisbon also got a great game from a two-way player: Mackenzie Eaton. She struck out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Eaton was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Sophia Bowie and Aubriana Bright did most of the damage at the plate: Bowie got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one triple, while Bright went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Bowie has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Brook Norman, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Lisbon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Hall-Dale's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lisbon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hall-Dale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .358. However, it's not like Lisbon struggles in that department as they've averaged .453. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hall-Dale couldn't quite finish off Lisbon when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
