The Purdue Polytechnic Techies won against the Indianapolis Washington Continentals last Wednesday with 77 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Purdue Polytechnic came out on top against Indianapolis Washington by a score of 77-67. The win made it back-to-back wins for Purdue Polytechnic.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Purdue Polytechnic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaleb Tate, who scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tj Williams, who scored 15 points.
Indianapolis Washington's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Stratton, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. Cameron Brewer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Purdue Polytechnic's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Indianapolis Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purdue Polytechnic will take on Christel House at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Christel House focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Friday. As for Indianapolis Washington, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Indianapolis Shortridge at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
