Basketball Recap: Daingerfield Sets Scoring Season-High Against CHAAMP Homeschool

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Daingerfield). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 71-55 win over the CHAAMP HomeSchool Hawks on Tuesday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 56-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, CHAAMP HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from David Harrison, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 23 points and eight rebounds. Harrison is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Hefner, who posted eight points.

The victory got Daingerfield back to even at 2-2. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Daingerfield will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hooks at 1:15 p.m. on December 31st. CHAAMP HomeSchool will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Avery at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
