Refugio is a perfect 3-0 against Kaufer since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bobcats will face off against the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. Refugio knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Kaufer likes a good challenge.

Refugio's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Premont 54-0. Fans of the Bobcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

It was another big night for Johnaven Montalvo, who rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Perez, who threw for 167 yards and a pair of TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Refugio was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 267 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 257 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Kaufer scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were outmatched by Santa Maria and fell 70-14. The Seahawks have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Refugio's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 41 points thus far. As for Kaufer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Refugio against Kaufer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 72-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
