Baylor had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the McCallie Blue Tornado on Friday as they made off with a 56-35 victory. The Red Raiders' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Briggs Cherry threw for 186 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. Jamyan Theodore was his top target, picking up 100 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, David Gabriel-Georges rushed for 417 yards and seven TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per carry.
McCallie's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elliott Drapeau, who threw for 395 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 33 yards. Keeyshawn Schneider Tabuteau was another key receiver, picking up 227 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Baylor's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for McCallie, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3.
