Opelousas have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Vinton on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Opelousas are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Opelousas found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 24-53 punch to the gut against Eunice two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Vinton were fully in charge last week, breezing past Highland Baptist Christian 57-13. The success made it back-to-back wins for Vinton.
Vinton's win lifted them to 2-0 while Opelousas's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Vinton can add another positive mark to their record or if Opelousas can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Vinton's step.
