The Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen will head out on the road to face off against the Community Christian Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Garland Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-42 to Wylie Prep Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Garland Christian Academy in their matchups with Wylie Prep Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Community Christian didn't have too much trouble with Joshua Christian on the road on Tuesday as they won 61-47.
Community Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Buchanan, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kendal Gil, who scored 18 points.
Garland Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Community Christian, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.
